Anita Pizarro, CSW (She/Her)
Anita is dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment where children, adolescents, and adults can explore their strengths, navigate life’s challenges, and work toward greater growth and resilience. She believes in meeting each individual where they are and providing a space where they feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey.
Anita’s clinical experience includes working with individuals who have experienced trauma, sexual abuse, domestic violence, emotional and mental health challenges, and crisis situations. She provides therapy in both English and Spanish and utilizes a trauma-informed, client-centered approach tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. Her therapeutic approaches include Play Therapy, Experiential Therapy, cognitive processing therapy (CPT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
Anita holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in cognitive neuroscience, a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics, and a master’s degree in social work from Utah Valley University.
Outside of her work, Anita enjoys reading, spending time in nature, gardening, and making memories with family and friends.
